As a more strategic and long-term solution, the Board of CASTINGS PLC Group (www.castings.plc.uk) has approved a new foundry production line at William Lee site in Dronfield, UK (www.wmlee.co.uk).
SAVELLI was selected as the main partner to supply the new high-highperformance horizontal tight flask molding line and the sand system.
The new line will be commissioned within 2 years, at a cost of around £ 17 million and will add more than 12,000 tons of additional gross foundry capacity. The additional facility will enable Castings PLC to satisfy demand for its current heavy truck parts, as well as providing capacity to take advantage of new and growing market areas such as truck electrification, wind energy and further opportunities in the US.
